Return To Sport – When is it Time?

Return to sport or your daily activities after an injury is dependent on a number of things. One is proper healing. Two is your body or tissues capacity to withstand the demands of the sport or activity. Continued limitations or re injury may mean your tissues capacity to withstand the pressure on it is limited. There are a number of ways a physical therapist can help you increase the capacity of that tissue to return you to the sport or activity you love. Your ability to increase the load demand is dependent on movement limitations, range of motion needs, strength deficits and poor mechanics. These and other needs are met by physical therapists.
