Orthopaedic physical therapy is the assessment and treatment of individuals with musculoskeletal injuries and/or conditions. Treatment includes education and instruction in postural changes, injury-specific exercise, manual techniques and modalities as needed.

There are many who can benefit from orthopaedic physical therapy such as individuals injured on the job and managed under worker’s compensation (to differentiate true mechanical pain appropriate for physical therapy care versus fear avoidance behaviors and non-organic signs).
