Jason Ward MPT, Cert MDT, a native of Illinois, obtained his undergraduate degree from Harding University and continued at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, graduating in 2001 with a Master’s of Physical Therapy. Since graduating, he has worked in orthopedic physical therapy in both private practice and in large orthopedic group settings providing care for patients in conservative and post-surgical rehab. Applying his knowledge of human movement and sport, he has also developed sports performance programs for various athletes. Jason is involved in sharing his experiences and knowledge through guest lecturing, contributing to health and wellness publications and providing various presentations. He has pursued specialized training through the McKenzie International Institute for Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) achieving credentialing as a certified MDT therapist. He is co-owner of MidSouth Orthopaedic Rehab established October 2007 and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, McKenzie Institute and National Strength and Conditioning Association. His interests include time in the outdoors, fly-fishing, hunting, and cycling, and even more important to him is time spent with his wife, four daughters and his church family.
David Grigsby MPT, Cert. MDT graduated with his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2002 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis. After graduation, he joined the staff of Orthomemphis, p.c. and specialized in pre- and post-operative care of the spine and extremities. In 2004, he began the credentialing process for Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). In August 2006, David achieved MDT credentialing with the McKenzie Institute, an international institute specializing in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal spine and extremity disorders. Throughout this time, he has continued to commit to the most current education in evaluation and treatment through various educational conferences with leading experts in spine and extremity conditions. David has assisted with guest lecturing in the physical therapy department at the UTHSC and has also spoken within physician seminars on the role of mechanical therapy in spinal injuries and conditions. Co-owner of MidSouth Orthopaedic Rehabilitation as of October 2007, he is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and McKenzie Institute.
Tina Estell, began applying her skills as a receptionist in 1998, with the opening of Tennessee Spine now called OrthoMemphis,p.c. After, a year of being a receptionist at Tennessee Spine, she was granted a position that required even more excellent customer service skills and responsibilities. These responsibilities included handling new patient appointments, as well as worker’s compensation patients, setting up depositions/FCE’s, being the liaison for case managers/adjusters and training new employees. She continued these responsibilities until 2001. In 2004, she was asked to come back to work at OrthoMemphis in the physical therapy department. The same responsibilities applied; however, this is where she mastered her ability to precertify and work with patients and their insurance companies regarding insurance issues. She continued to display her excellent customer service skills at OrthoMemphis until April 2007. In August 2007, she accepted a position at MidSouth Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (MOR) as office manager. At MOR she continues to make sure excellent customer service and professionalism are job one.
She received the “Spirit of Kindness” award from the Kindness Revolution in August 2008 recognizing not only kindness but compassion for the clients and community she serves.
